after for Locks Gift


Upon Reading the Humble Petition of John Brand< no role > Citizen
and weaver Setting forth that he Served his Apprentiship in this
Hospital to Joshua Crickett< no role > one of the Artsmasters by Indenture
Dated 18th May 1763 And by Order of court of the 28th. June 1770
was made free of this City the 5th day of May last and was set
up for himself in his Trade at Mr. Wallaces in Rose Street Brick Lane
near Old Street Turnpike , Had Received Mr. Fowkes Gift And Praying
Mr Locks Gift It is Ordered that Mr Read Mr Dep Fouch and
Mr Joseph Rose< no role > Senr or any two of them be desired to Inquire of the
said John Brand< no role > be set up for himself in his said Trade and of
his Hopefulness therein and Report the same to the Court

Norris Wm to be inquired
after for Fowkes Gift


Upon Reading the Humble Petition of William Norris< no role > Citizen
and Pinmaker Setting forth that he Served his Apprentiship in this
Hospital to Jeffry Gillingham< no role > one of the Artsmasters by Indenture
dated 8th March 1764 And by Order of Court of the 13th June last
was made free of this City the 1st day of October following and was
Set up for himself in his Trade at No.1 Bear Alley Bride Lane
Praying Mr Fowkes Gift It is Ordered that Edward Umfreville< no role > Esq
Charles Vere< no role > Esqr and Mr Richd Crowther< no role > or any Two of them be desired
to Inquire if the said William Norris< no role > be set up or himself in his said
Trade and of his Hopefulness therein and Report the same to the Court

Upon Reading the Humble Petition of Francis Elton< no role > Citizen and
weaver Setting forth that he Served his Apprentiship in this Hospital
to Abraham Philipps< no role > one of the Artsmaster by Indenture dated the
10th February 1753 And by Order of Court of the 30th. of August
1770 was made free of this City the 16th. of October following. was
Set up for himself in his Trade at Mr Squires in Fleet Street Spital
Fields Praying Mr Fowkes Gift It is Ordered That Henry Cranke< no role >
Esqr . Mr Dept Rogers and Mr Wiliam Rogers< no role > or any two of them
be desired to Enquire if the said Francis Elton< no role > be set up for himself
in his Trade and of his Hopefulness therein & Report the same to the Court

Brookson Wm< no role > . the Like


Upon Reading the Humble Petition of William Brookson< no role > Citizen
and weaver Setting forth that he Served his Apprentiship in this
Hospital to Josiah Ketteridge< no role > late one of the Artsmasters by Indenture
dated 16th July 1750 And by Order of Court of 22d. December 1757 was
made free of this City the 16th. of November last . Was set up for
himself in his Trade at Mr William Days< no role > near the Rose and Crown
Newington Causeway Praying Mr. Fowkes Gift It is Ordered that
Mr Nichs Nixon< no role > Mr Thos Horne< no role > , and Mr Jonathan Granger< no role > or any
two of them be desired to Inquire if the said Willm. Brookson< no role > be set up
for himself in his Trade and of this Hopefulness therein and Report the same
to the Court

Gratuities to Beadles &
Porters man of £5 each


Upon Reading the Humble Petition of the four Beadles and Porters
Man of this Hospital for their Grauities of £5 each for the Half Year
at Christmas next (their Salaries being Small) It is ordered that the
Clerk do give and Pay unto them £5 each to be allowed him in is next
