have sent in a further Proposal
for a further Lease of his House in Tudor Street
in the Precinct of Bridewell
he was called in & his sd. Proposal read as followsThat he had held the sd
House by Lease from the Governors at £8 P Ann for 21 years which Expired
at Midsummer lastAnd now proposes to take a New Lease thereof
for a further Term of 7 years from last Midsumer at £16 P Ann rent clear
of Taxes And being Ask't to mend his said Proposal declined it And being
called in a Second time He said he wou'd pay £12 P Ann rent clear of Taxes
Whereupon this Comittee having Considered the same are of
Opinion of Accept the said Proposal And the sd. Mr Bass being called in
& Acquainted therewith And that it wou'd be Reported to the next Court He
gave 5s. to the Poor box All which is Nevertheless Submitted to the
Judgment of the CourtThis Court haveing duely weighed and
Considered the sd Report doth Confirm the same And Order That a Lease
be made to the said Mr Bass Accordingly.

was read SettingforthThat he has
been a Freeman
of the City of London
about Seven years during which time
he has been set up in his Trade & brought up ApprenticesThat
there being a Vacancy of an Artsmanster in the Room of
Francis Croxford< no role >
lately Dismiss'd And the Petitioner being ready and willing to take such
a Number of Apprentices As the Court shall think fel And to keep his
Appartment in Repair with Glazing Plaistering & Whiting at his Own
Expence As is Usually done by the Artsmasters And to Comply with all Orders
of Court & Comittee made & to be made in relation to Artsmasters Whereupon
the Question being put the sd. William Tarrant was Elected an Artsmaster
till
the next ElectionAnd it is Ordered that upon his Delivering a Certificate
of his Settlement to the Clerk & produceing a Coppy of his Freedon of this
City he be Admitted Accordingly upon giving Security As is Usual in the like
CaseAnd it is Ordered that he have such Appartment as the Comee
of this House shall think fit
