this City having Served his Apprenticeship in this Hospital to Mr.
Obediah West< no role > one of your Worships Artsmasters by Indre dated 1st. Janry. 1744/5

This Court being informed that John James< no role > (late Apprentice to
Hadwen) had behaved himself with extra ordinary Diligence & Sobriety
during his whole ApprenticeshipIt is Ordered that the Clerk
do pay to the sd. John James Five Pounds of Mr. Fowk's Gift

Upon Reading the humble Petition of the four Beadles & Porters Man
of this Hospital [..] their usual Gratuities of Forty Shillings again in [..] in respect offorthe
half year ending at Christmas last for that their Salarys are but Small
It is Ordered that the Clerk of these Hospitals Do give & pay unto
them Forty Shillings a peice to be Allowed him in his next Account

Upon Reading the humble Petition of the three beadles or Basketmen
of the Hospital of Bethlem for their usual Gratuities of Twenty shillings
a peice in respect of the half year ending at Xmas last for that their
Salarys are but Small It is Ordered that the Clerk of these
Hospitals Do give and pay unto them Twenty shillings a peice to
be Allowed him in his next Account.
