Friday 17th May 1745

And the said Mr. Seward being called in proposed to pay £40 P Ann rent
and to take a Lease for 14 years from Michaelmas next To hereupon this Comee
faxoing considered the said proposalls are of Opinion to Accept the same upon which
the said Mr. Seward gave are Guinea to the poors Cox all which never the loss is
Submitted to the Judgment of the CourtAnd it is ordered that this opinion
be repored to the CourtThis Court having duly weighed & considered the
said Report doth confirm the same & Order that a Lease be made to the
said William Seward< no role > & Compe accordingly.

Upon reading Report from the Comee of this House bearing date the 7th.
day of May instant under the lands of Edward Holloway< no role > Esqr . Treasurer Dr .
Richard Rawlinson< no role > Mr. John Lee< no role > Mr. Thomas Morris< no role > Mr: William Hide< no role > Mr.
Edward Dod< no role > and Mr. Thomas Pestell< no role > as followsAt this Comes the Severnt
petitions of Thomas Clarke< no role > John Hughes< no role > William Higgins< no role > and James Ray< no role > (which
were referred by Order of Court the 10th of April last) were read whereby Each of them
proposed to take a Lease with Such Covemants as are usually contained in leases
from the Governors to their Tenants at Wapping of Two Messuages or Tenaments
near Excastion Dock at Wapping and late in the Possession of Francis Blunt< no role >
deceased for Twenty one Years comence from Michaelmas next at the Yearly rent
in the said Petitions respectively mentioned Payable quarterly at the Counting
house of Bridewell Hospital and to execute a Counterpart of Such Lease Vizt.

are of Opinion to Accept the said Proposal of the said William Higgins< no role > upo which
he gave two Guineas to the poors box all which noverth less is Submitted to the
Judgement of the CourtAnd it is Ordered that this opinion be reported to
the CourtThis Court having duly weighed & considered the said Report
doth confirm the same & Order that a Lease be made to the said William
Higgins
