a second time and proposed to take a Lease of two Houses (No.11) on the South
side of Wapping street
in the parish of St. John Wapping
late in the
possession of
Martha Bayley< no role >
and since assigned to the said Mr. Roddy which
expires at Laday 1746. being part of the possessions of the said Hospital
for thirty one years from Laday last at the old Yearly Rent of £4.
payable Quarterly clear of all Parliamentary or other Taxes and to
pay a Fine of £130. and to accept at his Charge a Lease of the said
premisses with such Covenants as are usually contained in Leases from
the Governors to their Tenants and to execute a Counterpart of such
LeaseThe Comee are of Opinion to accept the said proposalls upon
the said Mr. Roddys surrendring up the Lease in being whereupon the
said Mr. Roddy gave a Guinea to the Poors boxAll which nevertheless
is submitted to the Judgment of the Court And it is Ordered this
Opinion be reported to the next CourtThis Court doth confirm
the said Report & Order that a Lease be made to the said Mr. Reddy
accordingly.
