Upon Reading the humble Petition of Thomas Wallis< no role > Tailer Settingforth
That he Served his Apprenticeship to Thomas Ward< no role > deced late one of the Artsmasters of
the Hospital by Indre dated the 7th. of April 1718 & by an Order of this Court of the
17th day of June last he was on the 4th. of August following made free of this City & in
Sett up for himself on his said TradeAt Mr. Davis's a Tailer in Shoemaker row
in Black fryers And Mr Treasurer Reporting to this Court that the Comittee
of This House in the 10th. of Novemr. last Inquisted the book kept of the Apprentices-
Bekesion & found no Complaint agt himIt is Order'd That Mr Depty.
T [..] Mr Depty Wright, & Mr. Richd Foubey< no role > three of the Governors of
these Hospitals or any two of them be Desired to Enquire whether the said Thomas Wallis< no role >
be Sett up in his said Trade & of his hopefulness therein & to make their Report to
the next Court.

That he Served his Apprenticeship to Thomas Ward< no role > deced late one of the Artsmasters
of the Hospital by Indre. dated the 28th. of March 1718 & by an Order of this Court
of the 12th. day of Novemr: 1725 he was on the 7th. of July last made free of this
City & it Sett up for himself in his said TradeAt Mr Ashleys a Tailer in
Witch Street behind St. Clemente And Mr Treasurer Reporting to This Court
that the Comittee of this House on the 10th. of Novemr. last Inspected the book kept of
the Apprentices behaviour & found no Complaint agt. himIt is Orderd That
Mr. Richard Ashe< no role > Mr. Depty Turner. & Mr. Depty Vincent three of the Governors
of these Hospitals or any two of them to Desired to Enquire whether the said
William Stretton< no role > be Sett up in his said Trade & of his hopefulness therein & to
make their Report to the next Court.

Upon Reading a Report from the Comittee of this House under the hands of
Mr Treasurer Tufes & Stephen Beckingham< no role > Esqr . bearing date the 10th. day of Novr:
instant or followsIn Pursuance of and Order of Court the 17th. June last This
Comittee having taken into Consideration the Petition of Mary Atkins< no role > Widow of Thomas
Atkins
< no role > deced late one of the Beadles of the Hospital. Do find that the said Thomas
Atkins
< no role > was some time Portersman & afterwards a Beadle of this Hospital & that he
Served in the said two places upwards of 16 Years & dyed about 9 months since
And this Comittee also find that the said Mary Atkins< no role > is in a way of getting her
Living by keeping a School & that she has no Family to Provide for & come Serve
Reason to Allow the said Mary Atkins< no role > any money All St. they nevertheless Submit
to the Judgment of the CourtThis Court Doth Agree in Opinion with
the Comittee And Doth Confirm the said Report.

Govrsnow to be Nominated
in 6 Months}


This Court being Informed that the Number of Governors of these
Hospitals is for great Doth Order that no more Governors be Nominated
for Six Months.
