I Give to the Hospital of St Bartholomew
in London £500& to Christ
Church
Hospital £1000, and to St Thomas's Hospital
in Southwark
£500. and to Bethlem Hospital
in Moorfeilds
£500 which several
Sumes it is my intent and will shall be laid out in Lands and
hereditaments in fee Simple not only as an addition to increase the
Revenues of each Hospital but also shall be Subject & Leable to the same
Trusts & Rules by wch the sd Hospital are founded & Govern'dAnd my Will
is that none of the said four Sumes Shall be paid to their respective
Treasurers till their Governor
s shall have found out & agreed for Lands Rents
& Tenemts to the value of ye Sumes hereby given& the Interest in the
mean time to be applyd to my personal EstateThis Court doth Order
that it be Referred to the Comee of this house to Inquire for a purchase
persuant to the said Will.
