Upon reading the humble Petition of John Gibbs< no role > Setting forth
that he Served part of his apprenticeship with William Greave< no role > and the
Remainder with Nathaniel Whittmore< no role > one of the Artsmasters of this
hospital and was made free of this City ye 13th day of Septemr.
1715 Persuant to an Order of Court of ye 23d. day of July 1714
and is Sett up for himselfe in his Said Trade of a weaver at Nathaniel
Harris
< no role > 's a Drayman upon Saffron hill And praying Somepart
of Mr Locks Gift to enable him to carry on his Trade It is
Ordered That Stephen Beckingham< no role > Esqr . Capt. Hammond and Mr.
Saml. Stanton < no role > three of ye Governor of these hospitals or any two
of then be desired to enquire whether ye said John Gibbs< no role > be Sett
up in his Said Trade and of his hopefullness therein and to make their report
to this Court

Fowler Tho< no role > petn go Locks Gift


Upon reading ye humble Petition of Thomas Fowler< no role > weaver Setting forth that
he Served his Apprenticeship with William Bell< no role > late one of the
Artsmasters of this hospital and was made free of this City ye 13th
day of January Last Psuant to an Order of Court of ye 2d day of
March 1715/6 and is Sett up for himselfe in his said Trade att Mr
Chittons in Spittle Street in Spittle fields and praying Some part
of Mr Locks Gift to enable him to carry on his Trade It is
Ordered That Capt. hamott Mr Wm Lee< no role > and Mr John Furness< no role > three
of the Governours of these hospitals or any two of them be desired to
enquire whether ye said Thomas Fowler< no role > be Sett up in his said
Trade and of his hope fullness therein and to make their Report
to this Court

Apprentices made free


at this Court the presons here unders named were ordered to be made
free of this City haveing served them apprenticeships in this hospital
to ye Artsmasters hereunder menconed Vizt
