Upon reading a Report from the Comee of this house under the hands of Jno.
Tayler
< no role > Esqr . Trear Col George Megott< no role > Mr Jno. Barber< no role > Mr. Wm Lee< no role > and
Mr Christr. Bateman< no role > Bearing date ye 31st. day of Octor. Last in the words
following vizt.In persuance of two several Orders of Court of ye 4th Janry
and 19th July last This Comee haveing considered of ye severall Gentleman
following who were noiated to be Governours of these hospitals It is the
Opinion of this Comee that they are very proper persons to be Governor s.
if the Court Shall think fitt vizt.

which nevertheless is Submitted to ye Judgment of ye Court This Court doth
Elect ye said Gentlemen to be Governor s of these hospitals and it is Ordered that
Staves be Sent to them accordingly

Atkins Tho< no role > : Elected Beadle


Upon reading the humble Petition of Thomas Atkins< no role > (ye Portersman ) praying to
be Electedone of ye Beadles of this hospital in ye room Benjamin Harrison< no role >
deced And also upon reading ye several humble Petitions of Jno. Boulter< no role > . John
Brooks
< no role > , Samuel Dexter< no role > . John Person< no role > , Walter Powell< no role > & John Shipwash< no role >
each of them praying to beBeadle in ye room of ye said Harrison
or to be Portersman in case ye said Atkins Should be elected Beadle they were all
Severally called in and acquainted that whoever Should be Chosen into either
of ye said offices it would be upon Condition he should bring before the Comee of
this house a Certificate of his Last Legal Settlement and leave ye same wth.
the Clerke of this hospital (Except the said Thomas Atkins< no role > who was born in
this hospital and has Lived here ever Since) and then they being Severally put
in nomination for one of them to be Elected Beadle The said Thomas
Atkins
< no role > was unanimously Chosen And it is Ordered that he be accordingly
admitted Junior Beadle of this hospital untill ye next Election day upon
giveing Such Security as is usual in ye like Case and that he have Such
appartment in this hospital as ye Comee of this house Shall direct

Stanford Jno< no role > : elected Portersman


Upon reading ye humble Petition of John Stanford< no role > praying to be Portersman of
this hospital (in ye Room of Thomas Atkins< no role > who was elected Beadle at this Court)
he was called in & acquainted that in case he should be Chosen it would be upon
Condition he should bring before ye Course of this house a Certificate of his Last Legal
Settlemt. & leave ye same wth. ye Clerke of this hospital & then ye said John Stanford< no role >
and also Jno. Boulter< no role > Jno. Brooks< no role > . Saml. Dexter< no role > , Jno Person< no role > , Walter Powell< no role > &
Jno. Shipwash< no role > (who had been put up for Beadle and Petitioned either for that or ye
Portersmans place) being Severally put in nomination for one of them to be Portersman
It plainly appeared that ye plurality of hands were for ye said John Stanford< no role >
Whereupon it is Ordered that ye said John Stanford< no role > be accordingly admitted
Portersman of this hospital untill next Election day upon Condition that he
bring before ye Comee of this house at their next meeting a Certificate of
his last Legal Settlement and that upon giveing Such Security as is usual in ye like
Casehe have Such appartmt. in this hospital as the Comee of this
house shall direct
