ye. names of the persons whom he proposed to be his Security Vizt
Mr. Francis Turrall< no role > Linnen draper at the black Lyon in Cornhill
Mr. Edward Acton< no role > at Camberwell gent

And this Comittee haveing made Inquiry concerning them are of
Opinion that their Security is Sufficient This Court doth Confirm
the said Report and Ordrer that the said Security be accepted
accordingly

Upon Reading the humble Petition of Theophilus Armit< no role >
Edward Cordwell< no role > Jeremiah Thornhill< no role > and Samuel Bridgman< no role >
on behalfe of themselves and the rest of the Inhabitants of
the precinct of this Hospital Setting Forth That they presented
a Petition to this Court the 7th. day of Octor. Last to which they referr
and upon which no Order was made by reason the Petrs. not knowing
of the Court did not attend it That there is a Laystall in three Severall
places on the Ditch side faceing ye Petrs. houses and from thence Dung
is dayly thrown into Barges and thereby great quantities fall besides
into the Ditch insomuch that the water which ye Petr. Cordwell does
pump for the use of his family Leaves Such a Fulsome Smell and
Tast of Dung that the very meat dressed therewith becomes Loathsome
and not Eatableand there is Seldom a week passes but great
Quantitys of Lime and Soap Ashes are there Loaded which makes the
Petrs. habitatcons very impleasant by dusting their Bedds Cloths, &
Pewter and Sometimes almost blinds them and their Customers
That the Dung Barges constantly lyeing at the End of the said
Ditch presents the free passage of the Lighters and Berges that attend
the wharfes belonging to ye Petrs. (who Sell Coles faggotts and Timber)
to their very great damageAnd part of the Kings Highway Leading
down to Black Fryars Staires is become a Lay stall which Impositions
and griveances were never Suffered before And praying the Court to take
into consideration the Several matters Complained of by the sd. Petitioner
This Court Recomended it to ye Petrs. to apply to ye farmers of the City
Lay stalls who Seem to be the persons whose right is invaded and
who therefore ought to take care to remedy the Greivances Complained of
