Church were desired to withdraw into the Dineing room and
these who were for Dansie to Stay in the Court Then Tellers
were appointed vidett Thomas Rawlinson< no role > Esqr . & Mr
Christopher Bateman< no role > for Church and sr . Saml. Clarke< no role > Edward
Gibbon< no role > Esqr . for Dansie, who being returned Reported the
number of Governor . for Church to be Seventy five and the
Number for Dansie to be Eighty Six & the said John Wheeler< no role >
& James Dansie< no role > being put in nomination for one of them to be
Elected to the said place The Rt. Worshippll . sr . Wm. Withers< no role >
knt . & aldran president of these hospitals was pleased to
declare that in his Opinion the Plurality of hands were for the
said John Wheeler< no role > but a poll being demanded on the behalfe
of the said James Dansie the Same was granted And it
was desired that such of the Governor . as were for the said
James Dansie Should withdraw into the Chappell which being
done the Governours who were for the said John Wheeler< no role > -
withdraw into the Dineing Room & then Tellers were appointed
vizt. Thomas Rawlinson< no role > Esqr . and Mr. William Grubb< no role > for the said
John Wheeler< no role > and sr . Samuel Clarke< no role > and Edward Gibben< no role > Esqr . for
the said James Dansie who haveing taken an account of the Several
Number of Governor . for the said John Wheeler< no role > were Eighty five &
the Number of Governor . which were for the said James Dansie were
Seventy Seven So that the Majority being for the said John Wheeler< no role >
This Court doth thereupon declare the said Jno. Wheeler elected
and doth Order that the said John Wheeler< no role > be admitted to be
Surgeon to these hospitals untill the next Election day and to have
the Same Salary & allowances as were given to the late Surgeon
