Upon reading the humble Petition of

Setting forth That he has for some years past occupied a peice of
ground on the South side of Wapping Street
containing 14 foot in front
of the street & 84 foot in Depth to the Thames which (with the Mast
Yard adjoyning) was formerly let to Wood whose Lease is near
expired and his representative will not renewThat the Petr is
willing to build a Brick house if the Governours please to grant him
a Lease of 20 foot in front (which may be done without prejudice to the
Mast yard) and to pay a reasonable ground rent for the same and
praying that the premisses may be viewed and such lease be granted
to him It is ordered that it be referred to the Comee of this
house to view the premisses and to treat further with the petr. and to
Report to this Court their Opinion what is proper to be done therein.
