Hempdressers
allowance
to Prisonr. to be enquired into}
Ordered That it be referred to the Comittee of this house
to enquire what Prisonrs are kept in this hospital at the Charge
of the house and how much the Hempdressers
allow to those
prisoners who are ordered to eat no more than they earn and
the sd Comee are desired to give such direccons as they shall
think proper

Upon reading a Report from the Comittee of this house
dated the 20th. day of October last in these words vizt Whereas
the Comittee of this house on the sixth of Septemr 1711 in
pursuance of an Order made at a Court holden att this hospital
the 30th. day of June 1710 takeing into consideracon the
Petition of

for a New Lease of a Farme called
Cottington
and Severall parcells of Land in the parishes of Northburns
and Shoulden
in the County of Kent
belonging to the hospital of
Bethlem
which he held by Lease for Eleven yeares from Michas
1699 which expired att Michas last att the yearly rent of Two hundred years
and also of Some Marsh Land att Watmen
in the same County belonging
to the sd hospital which he held by a Lease which expired at Make
1703 under the yearly rent of Thirty five pounds Since which
he had held the same Lands at the same rent as Tenant at
will and ye sd Comee being informed that the said Lands had not
been viewed for Severall years past by any of the Governor
s. of these
hospitals and that another Farme and Lands in the Isle of Thanet
in the same County were given to the sd. hospital of Bethlem
by the Will of Mr

not been since viewed by any of the Governos Therefore the sd
Comee did desire

belonging to the sd hospital in the said County of Kent
and to report
to the Comee what Condicon they found the said Farmes and Lands
to be in and what they thought proper to be done therein And it
