This Court being informed That in pursuance of an Order
made the 23d of Novemr. 1705 a Lease was granted to
Mr. Martha Phillips< no role > dated the 28th. Novemr. 1705 amongst
Other things of the roomes and Chambers over the Gateway
leading into old Bethlem Whereby She Covenanted that
within three yeares from the date of the sd Lease She wou'd
at her owne Costs and Charges pull downe one Story over
the sd Gateway so as to enlarge the Same that Carts with
hay or other hish Loading Might go downe under the
Same and make good ye Same againe So as to make ye
Same passage Ornamental which Covenant She has not
yett performed but insists that it is necessary to be
done It is ordered That it be referred to the
Comee of this house to view the sd. premisses and
Report their Opinion to this Court.

This Court being informed That Sr Francis Dashwood< no role >
Suffered the water to run from his house upon the ground
thereto adjoyning in old Bethlem belonging to Bethlem
hospital which was formerly lett by Lease to one Benjamin
Spyers
< no role > for a Terme of years now expired and that he
had made Lights out of his owne house into the Same
ground and had also built a Compting house upon part
of the said ground and that he had likewise built part
of Two Chmineys upon other part of the sd hospital
ground Lett by Lease to Mr. Isabella Finch< no role > It is
Ordered That it be referred to the Comee of this house
to view the said premisses and to Report to this Court
what they think proper to be done therein.
