Beadles Gratuity
for a year}


Also upon reading ye humble Petition of ye four Beadles
and Portersman of ye said Hospital of Bridewell for their
usual gratuities of forty Shillings a peice in respect of ye
halfe year ending at Michas last for that their Salaries
are but Small It si Ordered by this Court That
the Clerk of these Hospitals do give and pay unto them forty
Shillings a peice to be allowed him in his next account.

Baskettmen's Gratuity
for a year}


Also upon reading ye humble Petition of the three Beadles
or Baskettmen of ye said Hospital of Bethlem for their usual
gratuities of Twenty Shillings a peice in respect of the halfe
year ending at Michas last for that their Salaries are small It is
Ordered That ye Clerk of these Hospitals do give and
pay unto them Twenty Shillings a peice to be allowed him
in his next account.

Chappel Clerk a Gra
of & 4: for ye year past}


Also upon reading ye humble Petition of Roger Gethin< no role > Clerke of
the Chappel of this hospital Setting forth That he is at a
Constant charge and trouble in Cleaning ye Chappel ye Lobby and
ye Staires and looking after ye appurtences besides his
teaching ye Apprentices of this Hospital twice a week to
Sing Psalms and not haveing any allowance or Salary in respect
thereof and humbly praying ye Consideracon of ye Court for
Such his Service for ye year last past ending at Michas
last It is Ordered That ye Clerk of these Hospitals doe
give and pay to ye said Gethin four pounds as a Gratuity for
Such his Service for ye year ending at Michas last. to be
allowed in ye next account

Chappel a Beadle to
attend near ye Altar to
prevent noise of Children}


Ordered That one of ye Beadles of this Hospital doe
constantly attend near ye Alter of ye Chappel in this Hospll.
dureing ye time of Divine Service and Sermon there to
prevent any noise or disturbance by Children.
