Hospital with Swords on, This Comee being informed That
an inconveniency has arisen from the said Order by the
Porters changeing Several gentlemens Swords that have
been left with him att their Entrance for which he has been
threatened to be sued It is the Opinion of this Comee That
instead of leaveing their Swords with the Porter all persons
should be obliged whilst they Walke in this Hospital to carry
their Swords in their hands And it is Ordered That this opinion
be reported to the next Court att the Hospital of Bridewell
This Court haveing duely weighed & considered the sd Report
doth Confirme the same

makeing Apprents. Clothes

Also a Complaint being made to this Court that the Comee
of this House had mett twice Since Michmas day last to
deliver out Cloths to the Apprentices in this Hospital according
to custome and that Some of the Artsmars. of this hospital who
had Orders to make and prepare the Cloths ready against
Michmas particularlyAtkins a Tayler had not
finished the same So that the Gentlemen of the said Comee
will be obliged to have another meeting for that purpose only
It is Ordered by this Court that it be referred to the said
Comee to reprimand or punish the Defalters and to make
such order for preventing or punishing the like mishaviour
for the future as they Shall think proper

Also upon reading the Humble Petition of William Empson< no role >
Porter to this Hospital Setting forth he and his predecessors have
formerly had the benefitt of 4 Bedds for Male Prisonrfor
for which each Prisoner used to pay 2d. p night and that by the
late Act of Parliamt. for rendring Convicts from Newgate to this
Hospital he is deprived of the benefitt of the said Bedds & praying
a compensation may be allowed him in respect thereof It is Order'd
by this Court That the matter of the sd Petition be referred to the
consideracon of the Comee of this Hospital who are desired to report
their opinion therein to this Court
