Lunaticks to pay
nothing:

Whereas by an Order of the 11th of Aprill 1701: for
the reasons therein contained It was Ordered That for the
time thence ensueing No pairsh Publick Society or private
person whatsoever should pay more then 2s:6d P week. for
the keeping any Lunctick person in the Hospll of Bethlem
till this court should give further order therein Now this
Court haveing further considered the yearly Revenue and
Income of the sd Hospll that the same has been considerably
Augmented by the charitable benevolence of severall worthy
benefactors and hopeing that the keeping the said Lunatick
Patients upon Charity will be a great Inducement to all well
disposed Chirstians to [..] Contribute to so good a work Doe
think fitt and so Order That from and after the first day of
January next all Lunaticks of what condicon or quallily soever
that shall be thought fitt to be received into the sd Hospll be
kept there upon the charity there of as to all things except
clothes untill further Order of this Court and that security
be given only for takeing away and Receiving again such
Lunaticks when discharged the said Hospll and for finding and
provideing for them necessary apparrell of all sorts and for burying
of such Lunaticks incase of Death And that the Clock of these
Hospll do provide such bonds accordingly And likewise That
upon dischargeing of all arrears wch shall be due on the sd first
day of January next the bonds now given for paymt. of 2s:6d P
week shall be delivered up to be cancelled And to the intent
that the sd Hospll may be in a Condicon to Receive such as
stand in need of the charity thereof It is further Ordered that
the weekly Comittee for the said Hospll. together with the
Physitian thereof do take care to Examine and Inspect the
Condicons and circumstances of the respective Lunaticks that
shall from time to time be harboured in the sd Hospll. and
consider wch of them shall be proper Objects to be Entertained
therein and discharge such as are not, according to former orders.
