22th: Mary 1701
This Comittee being mett pursuant to an Order of Court of
the 20th: Octr. 1699 whereby it was referred to them to dispose
of the Estate in Wappin late Mr. Youngs and haveing heard
the proposall of Mr. Wm. Drake< no role >
Vizt. to give £900: for the Residence
of the Terme now to come is the Lease lett to Mr. Young from
Bridewell
Hospll. And considering that severall of the house
in the said Lease menconed are decayed and the rest much
out of repaire and many of them Emply are of opinion That
it is most for the advantage of the said Hospll. to accept the
sd. proposall And that is consideraton of the sd. Sume of
£900: the said Lease and Prmisses thereby decuised be Assigned
to him for the Remainder of the Terme therin to come to
Comence from Midsomer next And that he shall be at
Liberty to pull Downe & alter the Old Mansion house
& other
two decayed Timber houses and dispose of the matterialls
therein as he shall think most for his advantage upon the
Pr. misses And that for the first year of the Sd. Terme her shall
pay the Rent of £12: 10s: and noe more and the yearly rents
Five and Twenty pounds being the Rents reserved by the
Lease for the Remainder of theTerme And further That [..]
Drake for his Convenienty can onely deposite the Sum of
£300. by Midsomer next in Mr. Trear's hands the same Shall
be reced and he then permitted to Enter upon the Pr. misses
And that upon paymt. of the Remainder of the Sd. purchas
money the Assignment to be Executed.
And This Court [..] haveing duely weight and Consider
the sd. Report doe Confirm the same and Order that the
same shall observed and the sd. Lease Assigned accordingly
