asked him of he would not compromise the Matter but
being Answered in the Negative they told him they would be
damned if he should have the Goods that the Prisoner

Inn towards London near a Hour called the Galley
Hill, this Informant having then the White driving the
Horser and the other Officer walking a little before
That the Prisoner and the said other Person who before would
to compromise the Matter at the Inn and three New
Men on Horse Back came up to him, when one of them
draw and cocked a Brass Pistol and Insisted on Informant
going up the Seizure and Threat and to Fire at him of
he did not comply, but Informant resolutely persisted in
his duly and one of the Men on Horse back put spurs why
Horse and rode Informant down and the Smuglers then obsene
a general Fire upon the Officer and wounded two of the [..]
