The Humble Petition and appeal of the
Church Wardens and Overseers of the poor of
the Parish of Saint John the Evangelist in
the City of London

Sheweth

That by an Order or adjudication Under the hands and Seals
of the Right Honourable John Wilkes< no role > Esqr Lord Mayor and George
Hayley< no role > Esqr . one of the Aldermen two of his Majesties Justices of the
Peace for the said City and the Liberties thereof (one being of the
Quorum) bearing date the 27th day of September last Thomas
Bloodworth< no role > This name instance is in set 3803. Ann< no role > This name instance is in set 3804. his Wife and their four Children Namely Elizabeth< no role >
aged Seven years, Ann< no role > aged Six years, Hannah< no role > aged four Years and
Thomas< no role > This name instance is in set 3803. aged two years were removed and conveyed from the
Parish of Saint Michael in Cornhill in the said City to the said
Parish of Saint John the Evangelist as the place of their legal
Settlement

That your petitioners conceive themselves agreived
by the said Order or adjudication and appeal to this Honourable
Court therefrom and

Your Petitioenrs therefore Humbly Pray that this
Honourable Court will please to Grant them such Relief
in the Premises as the Nature of their Case may require
And your petitioners shall ever Pray Etc
