Charles Kennedy< no role > maketh oath that he
was heretofore hired & lived as a yearly hired servant
by & with Mr Samuel Road< no role > a Farmer in that part
of Hoxton which is in the Parish of St John Hackney
in the sd County & Continued in such Service under
such hiring at Certain Wages for the Space of about
Sixteen Years & has not since lived as a hired Servt
for the Space of a year elsewhere nor rented a
house of ten pounds a year or upwards or served
any Parish office or paid any Poors rates or
Kings taxes or done any act to gain a subsequent
Settlement.

The Voluntary Examination of Jane
Watkins
< no role > of the Parish of Saint Botolph without
Aldgate in the said County Singlewoman taken
upon oath before me one of his Majesties Justices
of the Peace in and for the said County this twenty
fifth day of May 1785 who upon oath saith that on
the ninth day of October one thousand seven hundred
& eighty two in Coopers Court in the said Parish
of St Botolph witht Aldgate she the said Jane
Watkins
< no role > was delivered of a Male Bastard
Child since baptized & registred by the name of
George Skelton< no role > and this Examinant farther
Saith that on the eighth day of February now
last past in Coopers Court aforesaid in the said
Parish she the said Jane Watkins< no role > was delivered
of Another Male Bastard Child since baptized
& registred by the name of William Skelton< no role > both
of which said Children are now chargeable to
the said Parish of St Botolph without Aldgate
she this Examinant being Poor & not able to
provide for them and this Examinant farther
Saith that George Skelton< no role > late of Coopers Court
aforesd belonging to the Mint did get her with child
of the said two bastard Children
