Upon
his Oath Saith That about eight o'Clock in the Evening
of Wednesday last he was coming from Lime house
across
Stepney fields
to London a Woman and Child being with him and in the path way near the
Rope ground met the deceased who came up to him and
begged he would not go any further as he the deceased was
Shot and immediately laid hold of Deponent by the Arm
and he walked back with the deceased to the Gner Drager
Public House
at Stepney
being the nearest House, as they
were returning to the House they met Ms. Hughes or
Butcher
of Aldgate
and a Ms. Barber Deponent
immediately said to them you mind go back again
with me this Man (meaning the deceased) is Shot
the deceased then appeared very faint and all of them
went into the Green Dragon
. The Landlord of which
immediately sent for a Coach to take the deceased to
the London Hospital
. The Coach being brought Messrs.
