her Father


(to wit) Mary Gardner< no role > singlewoman aged sixteen
years and upwards Upon Oath saith that she never
was Married, that she never lived as an hired yearly
Servant or did any Act to [..] acquire any legal
settlement in her own right, to the best of her
knowledge or belief, that she is informed and very
verily believes she is the legitimate Daughter of
Simon and Elizabeth Gardner< no role > , that her Father the
said Simon Gardner< no role > [..] Obtained his legal
settlement in the Parish of Saint Andrew Holborn
above the Bars in the County of Middlesex by Renting
and residing in a House in Leather Lane in the said
Parish that she is the more induced to belief that the place
of his last legal settlement is in that Parish as she
her Mother [..] with this Examinant & two to other
Children have been received in the [..] House [..]
for the reception of the Poor of that parish & her Sister
was bound out an Apprentice by the Officer's thereof
that her Father & Mother hath deserted her & she is
unable to provide for herself without assistance
