she never was married Rented House paid Taxes or ever lived
a hired Yearly Servant for one Year Says that about Two Years
ago on Calling in Stanhope Street

House to Enquire after this & her Aunts Health was informed by
her Uncle that her Aunt was very ill and on Asking her Uncle
whether she cod. be of any service during her illness (her Aunt
keeping no Servant) her Uncle sayd she Cod. and that if she
wod. Assist him during her illness that he wod. pay her what
she deserved but made no other bargain; accordingly she sayd
with her Uncle for the space of 15 Months or thereabouts but
never was hired or made any other Agreement than as aforesd.
Says her Uncle twice gave her 4s or 5s and now and then a
Shilling and bought her Cloaths at Two different times besides
Diet & Lodging but this Examinant thos. her self at Liberty to
part from her Uncle without any Warning or to go when ever
she thos. proper and believes her sd. Uncle took her more out
of Humanity than otwise (she being out of place) That on
leaving her Uncle she hired herself as a Servant
to one Mr.
Wakelin in St. John Street
Clerkenwell
and lived with him for the
Space of Four Months or thereabouts, that on Calling a 2 time
on her Uncle he proposed to hire her as a Servant at the Yearly
Wages of £4..10s..0d to which this Examinant Ageed to and she
continued to live with him for the space of Eight Months or
thereabouts and on quitting her said Service she never gained any
other Settlemt. than as aforesaid
