her Oath Says she never was married Rented House
or paid Taxes Says she lived a hired Yearly Servant with
one Robert Smith< no role > an Attorney in Lyons Inn in the Parish
of Saint Clement Danes in the Liberty of Westminster
upwards of One Year at the Yearly Wages of five Pounds
hath quitted her said Service upwards of Two Years ago
since which time she never lived a hired Yearly Servant for
One Year or ever gained any other Settlement than as aforesd
And further Says that on the 25th. day of April last past
she was delivered of a Male Bastard Child in the Workhouse
belonging to the aforesaid Parish of Saint Clement Danes
which hath since been baptized by the name of Miles Wells< no role >
And is now Chargable to the aforesaid Parish of St. Clement
Danes and likely to Continue so And further Says that One
Miles Jackson< no role > Esqr . who lodges at Mr. Sedgleys a Taylor in
Maiden Lane Covent Garden is the Father thereof he having
had Carnal knowledge of her Body at his Lodging at
Briththelmstone some time in the Month of July last but the
particular day she does not remember and at several different
times afterwards at one of which times he got her with Child
of the Male Bastard Child of which she was so delivered as
aforesaid and that the said Miles Jackson< no role > and no other
Person did beget the same and that he is the real and true
Father thereof
