Middlesex

to wit Mary Peake< no role > Aged about Twenty Three Gears on
her Oath Says she never was married Rented House or paid Taxes
Says she lived a hired Yearly Servant with Mr. Holden on Apothecary
in the Strand in the Parish of Saint Clement Danes in the County
of Middlesex for One whole Year at the Yearly Wages of Seven
Pounds Twelve Shillings hath quitted her said Service upwards of Two Months ago
since which time she hath gained no other Settlement and further
on her Voluntary Oath Says that on the Eighteenth day of June
last she was delivered of a Male Bastard Child which hath
since been baptized by the name of Charles< no role > and is become
Chargable to the said Parish (she being poor and unable to
maintain the same) And further says that one Charles Roberts< no role >
a Journey Appothecary to Mr. Holden in the Strand is the Father
thereof he having had Carnal knowledge of her body sometime
in the Month of September last in her said Masters House in
the Strand but the particular day she does not now remember
and at sevl. different times afterwards at one of which times he got
her with Child of the Male Bastard Child of which so delivered
as aforesaid and that the said Charles Roberts< no role > and no other
person did begett the same & that he is the real & true Father
thereof.
