to wit Jonathan Haselton< no role > of the Parish of Saint Sepulchre London
Print Cutler on his Oath says that about the latter End of Janry
or the begining of February last one William Nozencraft< no role > a
Callico Printer Cutter brought a male Child aged about Two Years
to this Examinants House Named William James< no role > for his this Examinants Wife to
Nurse, saying that it was his Child that he happened to have
by a Certain woman whose Name was Catherine Clarvis< no role > who
died about Seven Days after the Birth of the said Child
and that the same was born in the House of one Hartley
in Browne Buildings Drury Lane in the Parish of St.
Clement Danes at the same time saying that he had
kept the same ever since its Birth And this Examinant
further saith the said William Nozencraft< no role > deserted such Child
& left the same at this Examinants House and that there is now due
to this Examinant One Pound four Shillings And this Examinant
further says that not knowing what was become of the said
William Nozencraft< no role > this Examinant Wife applyed to the Lord Mayor and on this Examinants wife acquainting his
Lordship of the above Circumstances his Lordship Passed such
Child on the aforesaid Parish of Saint Clement Danes as the
Place of its Birth and Castly this Examinant saith he hath
since heared where the said William Nozencraft< no role > now in
and he believes he is well able to Maintain such Bastard Child
