Years on her Oath Says she is the Widow of John Gundy< no role >
who died about a Year and an half ago as she has
heard and believes and with whom she Intermarried at
the Parish Church of Rotherhith Surry in the Year 1775
& by whom she hath one Child living namely Harriot Augusta< no role >
Aged about Three Years Says her said late Husband Served Seven
Years Apprenticeship the first Three Years with his Father
at Ross in the County of Hereford and the last four Years with
his Uncle in Stanhope Street in the Parish of Saint Clement Danes
and further Says that on her said Husbands Mothers Death he
went down to Ross in Herefordshire and Continued to live there for
about four Months on a small Estate which fell to him & whilst
he resided there he either sold or Mortgaged the same and this
Examinant further upon her Voluntary Oath says she is pregnant
with Child or Children which is or are likely to be born a Bastard
or Bastards and to become Chargable to the said Parish she being
Poor and unable to maintain the same when born and that George
Phillips
< no role > a Ropemaker who lately worked at Mr. Hoarsncar Bell
Dock Wapping & who lately also took a House at No. 3 in White Cross or white
Horse Street near New Crane Ratcliffe Cross is the Father thereof he
having had Carnal Knowledge of her Body at her lodgings in Milk
Alley near Wapping Old Stairs in the Month of August 1778 and at sevl.
Different times afterwards at One of which times he got her with Child
of the Child or Children of which she is now pregnant And that the
said George Phillips< no role > and no other person did be get the same and that
he is the real & true Father thereof
