Sarah Haydon< no role > Aged about 25 years on her Oath says she
Never was Married Rented House or paid Taxes says
she lived a Hired Yearly Servant with one Mr Wilson
a Ship Chandler at Chadwell Dock in the Parish of
Saint Pauls Chadwell in the County of Middlesex for
Eleven Months or upwards but received Twelve
Months Wages that this Examinant was Passed from
Saint Mary Lambeth to Saint Pauls Chadwell
Saint Pauls Chadwell Appealed and on hearing the
Appeal the same was dismissed after quitting her
said Masters Service she Never Rented House paid
Taxes or lived a Hired yearly Servant for one year
And Further on her Oath says she was delivered of a
Female Bastard Child on the 22 day of Decr. 1776 in the House of Mr. Hayes in
Angel Court in the Parish of St. Clement Danes
which has since been Baptized by the Name of Margaret
Diana< no role > and is likely to become Chargeable to the said Parish
and that one Thos. Johnston< no role > a Cabinet Maker in Angell
Court aforesaid is the Father thereof he having had Carnal
Knowledge of her Body sometime February 1776
and at Several Different times after at one of which
times he got her with Child of the Female Bastard
Child of which she was so delivered as aforesaid and
that the said Thos. Johnston< no role > and no other Person did
beget the same and that he is the real and true father
thereof.
