to wit Elizabeth Kelly< no role > Singlewoman Aged about
Seventeen years on her Oath Says she never Rented House paid
Taxes or lived a hired yearly Servant for one year Says that this
Examinant and her late Brother were in the Workhouse belongg.
to the Parish of St. Brides London for several years and to
which Parish her Grandfather as also her late Father and Mother belongd
as She has often been Informed and which Information she
verily believes to be true And this Examinant further saith
that about Three years and half ago her Father in Law Mr.
Hodgson out of Compassion to this Examinant took her out
of the aforesaid Workhouse belonging to the said Parish of
Saint Brides and bound this Examinant an Apprentice to
one Mrs. Willington a Mantua Maker in Litchfield Street in the
Parish of Saint Anns in the Liberty of Westminster for Six
Years, The first Three years to work below Stairs and the last
Three years above Stairs the first Three years of which said
time this Examinant served accordingly That this Examinant
soon after the first three years of her Apprenticeship left her
said Mistress and afterwards falling a Casualty in the Parish
of Saint Clement Danes was passed on the aforesaid Parish of
Saint Anns Soho , Saint Anns soon afterwards appealed to the
Quarter Sessions And the Court were of Opinion that as the
Indenture was for Six years only this Examinant Cod. gained no
Settlement thereby And further says she can give no further or
other Account of her Settlement than as abovementioned
