to wit Alice Benbow< no role > Aged about 20 years on her Oath
says she never was Married Rented House or paid
Taxes Says she lived a hired yearly Servant with
one Mr. Elliott in Butcher Row Temple Bar upwards
of one year at the yearly Wages of £5 hath quitted the
said Service upwards of one year ago since which
time she hath gained no other Subsequent
Settlement and further upon her Voluntary Oath
Says she is Pregnant with Child or Children
which is or are likely to be born a Bastard or
Bastards & to become Chargeable to the said Parish
she being Poor and unable to Maintain the same
when born Says that one Doctor George Bell< no role > who
Lodges at Mr. Fossetts her said Masters in Thannett
Place is the Father thereof he having had Carnall
Knowledge of her Body at her said Masters house
the latter end of Decr. last but the Particular Day
she Does not now remember and at Several different
times afterwards at one of which times he got with
Child of the Child or Children of which she is now
Pregnant & that the said Dr. Bell and no other
Person did beget the same and that he is the Father thereof
