to wit Mary Hatton< no role > aged about forty years on her Oath
Says she is Widow of Thos. Hatton< no role > who died about Six years
ago Says her said late Husband Rented and lived in a House in Cow
Lane now Called King Street in the Parish of St. Sepulchre London
for several Years and after her said Husbands Death this Examinant
Continued and kept the same upwards of Three years at the yearly
Rent of Twenty four pounds hath quitted the said House upwards of
Two years ago since which time she hath gained no other Subsequent
Settlement And further upon her Voluntary Oath Says that on the
28th. day of April 1776 she was delivered of a [..] Females Bastard Child
in the House of Mr. Mitchell a Painter Glazier in Old Boswell Court
in the Parish of St. Clement Danes which was afterwards baptized
by the Name of Rosanna< no role > and is now become Chargable to the said
Parish she being poor and unable to maintain the same And further
says that one George Applin< no role > Clerk in the Comptonlers Office in
Guild Hall is the Father thereof he having had Carnal knowledge
of her Body in her said House sometime in the Month of May
1775 and at sevl. different times afterwards at one of which times he
got her with Child of the Female Bastard Child of which she was so
delivered as aforesaid and that the said George Appin< no role > & no other
person did beget the same and that he is the real and true Father
thereof
