to wit Mary Dax< no role > This name instance is in set 5803222. Aged about Twenty five years on
her Oath Says she never was married Rented House or
paid Taxes Says she lived a hired Yearly Servant with
Mr. Davison a Taylor in Fountain Court Strand in the
Parish of St. Clement Danes in the County of Middlesex
for fifteen Months at the Yearly Wages of four pounds
hath quitted her said Service about Ten Months ago
since which time she hath gained no other subsequent
Settlement And further on her Oath Says that on the
first day of July last she was delivered of a Male Bastard
Child in the Work house belonging to the Parish
of Saint Clement Danes which has since been
baptized Thomas< no role > and is become Chargable to the said
Parish And that one James Madan< no role > This name instance is in set 2086. late a Porter
to a China Man in Thames Street is the Father
thereof he having had Carnal knowledge of her Body
sometime about the Middle of Septr. last in her said
Masters House and at sevl. different times afterwards
at one of which times he got her with Child of the
Male Bastard Child of which she was so delivered as afsd.
And that the said James Madan< no role > and no other person
did beget the same and that he is the real and true
Father thereof
