Anna Maria Ayres< no role > aged about Thirty five Years on her
Oath says she never was Married Rented house or
paid Taxes says she lived a hired yearly Servant
with one Mr. Smart an Attorney in Clements Inn
for Fourteen Months or thereabouts at the Yearly
Wages of £5 a year hath quitted her said Service
Upwards of three years ago Since which time she
hath gained no other Subsequent Settlement and
further upon her Voluntary Oath says she is
Pregnant with Child or Children which is or are
likely to be born Bastard or Bastards and to become
Chargeable to the said Parish of Saint Clement Danes
she being Poor and unable to Maintain the same
says that one Wm Davis< no role > a day Labouring Man to
one Mr. Welling a farmer near the Jews Harpe
House and who is now at Cox heath in the County
of Kent is the Father thereof he having had
Carnal Knowledge of her Body sometime in
October last but the Particular day she does
not now Remember and at several different
times afterwards at one of which times he got her
with Child of the Child or Children of which she is
now Pregnant and that the said Wm. Davis< no role >
and no other Person did beget the same and that
he is the real and true father thereof
