and then died, Says that he called his Family
and one Hunt a Prisoner there who were
present when he died, and believes that the
Deced died in a natural way. Says that he
has no reason to think that the Deced took
any thing to cause his death, nor did the
Deced receive any ill treatment from any
Person in Depts. House.

John Hurt< no role > a Prisoner at Mr. Mills in Shire
Lane on his Oath saith, That he was taken there
on Wednesday Night last, and found the Deced
a Prisoner there, Says that the Deced appeared
to be low Spirited and troubled in Mind, and
behaved in an odd manner, Says that
about a Quarter before three o'Clock this Morning
Mr. Mills called Dept. up, Desiring him to come
down and give him some Assistance to help the
Gentleman into Bed, upon which he went into
Deced's Room and found him on the Floor
Says that he Rattled in the Throat but Dept. dis
not see him move, Says that he and Mr. Mills
lifted the Deced upon the Bed, and Dept. believes
that he was dead, and Dept. believes that he
died in a Fit in the natural Way, and Says
that the Deced was not ill treated by Mr. Mills
or any other Person there to Depts. Knowledge

on his Oath saith That the Deced has been in
the Custody of Mills in Shire Lane eight days That
he saw the [..] Deced there three or four times
every day, when he observed the Deced of times to be low
Spirited, and troubled in Mind. That he drank

Brandy frequently Says that he was informed
on Friday or Saturday last by Mrs. Mills that the
Deced had been in a Fit, and the Deced afterward
Acknowledged it to Dept., Says that he was within
the Deced at Mr. Mills last Night about Nine o'Clock
when Deced told him that he should not want
him until this Morning, that he went home
and left the Deced there, Says that Mr. Mills called
upon Dept. about four o'Clock this Morning and
informed him that Deced was dead upon which
he went to Deced and found him dead, and
Dept. believes that he died in a natural way
