wounds but the Deced was not able to speak
and appeared to Dept. to be lying, Says
that he immediately called up his Fellow Servants
who come there, Says that a Surgeon was fetched
and that Deced died in about half an hour
as Dept. was informed and Dept. believes that
the Deced was killed by the Horse in the
Stable, and Says that the Horse in a Chesnut
Horse, and that he is a very vicious
unruly Horse. And Says that he heard no
Noise in the Yard that Night Charles Stephens< no role >

man to Mr. Merryman & Mr. Clark Surgeons
in Queen Street May Fair on his Oath saith
That he this day Examined the Body of the
Deced in Mr. Hemming's Stable and found his
Right Leg broken, and a Wound near his
saw bone on the right side about the Length
of one Inch and in depth about two Inches,
appearing to have been given by a blunt
Instrument, and believes it might be
reced by a Kick from a Horse, and that
it might occasion the Deced's death. And
Says that the Deced had Bruises on
both his sides.

Edward Jones< no role > a Coachman Servant to Mr.
Hemmings on his Oath saith, That he was in
Bed yesterday Morning in Mr. Hemmings Yard
that he was called up yesterday Morning between
five and six o'Clock by Charles Stephens< no role > , who said
that poor Nad was killed, upon which Dept. (and
two other Stable men who sleep in the same Room)
got up and on Dept. going into the Stable he
saw the Deced lying there with his Head towards
the Door, having been moved by Mr. Stephens [..]

and blood upon his Stockinge but Dept. did not
examine the Deced, Says that the Deced was
not able to speak but croaned, That a Surgeon
was fetched who sent something for the Deced
but said that he would dye in a few Minutes
Says that the Deced frequently slept in the Stable
and) believes that he was killed by one of
the Horses in the Stable the Deced died in
about half an hour, And Says that he did
not hear any Noise in the Yard that Night.

James Leach< no role > Servant to Mr. Hemmings on his
Oath saith, That he sat upon Monday Evening
last to let the Hackney Coaches into the Yard,
Says that the Coaches were all in the Yard before
Twelve o'Clock, and that William Smith< no role > was the
last Coackman that came in, and that Depot then
went to Bed says that he did not see the Deced
in the Yard that Night, That he was called by
Stephens the next Morning who said that
the Deced was killed, upon which he got up
and went with the other Men into the Stable
and saw the Dered lying there with his face
very bloody, a Wound near his Ian bone &
his Leg broke, Says that the Deced could not
speak and died in about half an hour, and
Dept. belives that he was killed by a Horse
in the Stable.
