County of Midsex }

Informations taken this Third day of
October 1776 at the Parish of St. Margaret
within the Liberty of Westmr . in the County
of Midsex upon an Inquisition touching the
death of John Cuttle< no role > dead in the said
Parish Liberty and County.

Thomas Ron< no role > of Brother's Row Lambeth in
the County of Surry Waterman on his Oath
saith. That yesterday about a Quarter after
Twelve at Noon, (Octr. 2d. ) Dept. was rowing
his Boat up the River Thomas, and a little above
White Hall Caunway he saw the Deced lying
upon his face in the River Thomas covered
with Water & about twelve Yards from the
Shore, the Tide [..] bbing at that time, Says that
he lifted the Deced out of the Water into his
Boat and rowed him to westmr. Bridge
there put the Deced on Shore in the Parish
of St. Margaret Westmr . Says that the Deced was
dead and Cold, and Dept. saw some Blood
under the Deced's right Ear, Says that the
Deced was put into a Shell and carried to the
Sign of the Kings Arms in Bridge Court Westmr.

Parish of St. Margaret Westmr. on her Oath
saith That John Cuttle< no role > the Deced was Butter to
the Dutchess, and that he yesterday Morning
about nine o' Clock, came into Depts. Room and
asked for Pen Ink and Paper, which Dept. gave
him, and Deced took it away, Says that
