29th, day of July 1773 , in the Parish of St.
Margaret in the said City at the Dwelling
House of Mr. Thomas Milton< no role > the Sign of
the Nags head in the Hamlet of Knightsbridge
Before Thomas Prickard< no role > Gentleman His
Majestys Coroner for the said City and
Liberty touching the Death of William

< no role > then and thore lying Dead, as follows

Henry Giles< no role > who lodges at the Horse shore & Last in St.
James's Street on his Oath says that on Saturday last between
5 and 6 o'Clock in the Evening, the Deced and he went to take
a Walk together to see the Cricket Match in Hyde Park &
then came to the Serpentive River in Hyde Park in that
Part that is in St. George Hanover Square Parish, some
other Gentlemans Servants were there and asked the Deced and
this Deponent to go into the Water, the Deced said he could
go in the Deponent said he would not, Deponent perswade
the Deceased not to go in, but he would, the Deced than
pulled off his Cloaths and went in, Deponent observed when
