29th. July 1773 .

Verdict of the Jury touching the Death of William Chatham< no role >
That the said William Chatham< no role > on the 24th. day of July 1773, at that
Parish of St. George Hanover Square in the Liberty of Westminster to
wit at the Serpentive River in Hyde Park going into the said River
there to Swim, it so happened that accidentally casually and by
Misfortune he the said William Chatham< no role > was in the Waters of
the said River then and there Suffocated and Drowned, of which
said Suffocation and Drowning he the said William Chatham< no role > then
and there instantly Died. And so the Jurors on their Oath say
that the said William Chatham< no role > in manner and by the means
aforesaid accidentally causally and by Misfortune came to
Death and not otherwise. In Witness whereof the Foreman on
behalf of himself and the rest of the Jurors has here into set
his hand this 29th. day of July 1773
