The Go [..] ors of Mr. Guys Hospital having
applyed to us relation to a piece of Ground being a part
of the Burying Ground which belongs to this Hospital
which piece of Ground they apprehend was granted to them
by their last. Lease from this Hospital hearing date the
27th. Feby: 1736But the Plan being Imperfect by
the Omission of the line on the East Boundary of the said
Burying Ground that part which the Governors of Mr Guys
Hospital apprehend they have a right to make use of is not
absolutely determinedWe takeing the Premisses into
our Consideration have ordered

and Counterpart he amended and perficted according to such
original Intention by adding proper Lines thereto for that
purpose.

Gratuity


We have allowed Mr George Whitfield< no role >
the Apothecary a Gratuity of £10 for his Extraordinary
Services to this Hospital for the Year past

A Letter having been read signed by the
than Physicians of this Hospital recommending Preminers
to be given for taking drowned Persons and bringing them to
this Hospital is as follows

To the President Treasurer
and Governors of Sr. Thomass Hospital
Gentlemen

Whereas many Lives are annually lost to the
Publick by People falling into the River the Oversitting of
Boats near London Bridge and similar Accidents some of which
Lives might probably he saved if early and proper Means
were used for that Purpose

We therefore beg Learn to recommend it to your
Humanity to extend the Charity of this Hospital which is
Already so useful to the Publick by giving an Order for the
immediate Reception of all such drowned Persons as may he
