Colour of that Lease, which expireing at Christman 1712 For preserving our Right
to the said Lands by and Entry and Clainne within Five Years after the End of
the said Terme, Mr. Wright our Clerk on the Sixteenth of December last by vertue of a
Letter of Attorney for that purpose, made Entryes upon the said Lands lyeing in Serveal
Parcells, whereof about Six Acres and an half are impossession of Edward Halfchyde< no role >
as Under tenant to Sr . Richard Child< no role > ; about two Acres more are in the possession of Edward
Goubstone
< no role > And about Three Roodsmore are in the possession of Thomas Quarne< no role > For
which Three Roods Quarne then Attorned Tenant to the Hospitall, Mr. Wright delivered
Ejectments at that time to the said halfechyde and Goulston: and Gouldstone not thinking
Fit to make any Defence, Indgment in Ejectment has been Since obtained against him
But as to Sr. Richard Child< no role > , he insists upon his possession, and that he has the Free hold
in him, however proposes to Refer the point to two Councill, which we have agreed
to, in hopes to have the same Settled without further Charge.

Thos. & Edward
Hancocks Grant


Upon the Request of Mr. Thomas< no role > and Edward Hancock< no role > to whom we have agree
to Grant a Lease of our Farmes lyeing in Fulborne and Feversham in the County of
Cambridge in such manner as Reported to the Genearll Court held the 16o: of January
1716 We have agreed that the same shall be granted by two Leases, One to the said
Thomas Hancock< no role > of our Farme in Fulborne at Sixty pounds P Annum and Three
hundred pounds Fine, And the other to the said Edward Hancock< no role > of our Farme at
Teversham at Forty pounds per Annum and Two hundred pounds Fine.

Slades Grant


Wee have agreed with Mr. Thomas Slade< no role > with whom we had contracted to Grant
him a Lease of Two Houses, One lyeing in St. Saviours parish, and the other in St. Thomas
Parihs in Southwarke , upon the Termes reported to the Generall Court held the 15th. of
July 1715. That he shall have the same now Granted by Two Leases, One of the House in
St. Saviours Parish at Twelve pounds per Annum for a Fine of Two hundred and Fifty
pounds, And the other of the House in St: Thomas's Parish at Three pounds Six Shillings
and Eight pence per Annum for a Fine of Fifty Pounds: And that a Covenant shall be
contained in the Lease of the said House in St. Saviours to oblige him to keep the pavement
of the Gateway or passage leading out of the Burrough into St. Thomas's Parish, which
lyes under part of the said House in good Repaire.

Mr Skingle our Tenant of a Farme and Lands at Parndon in Essex
haveing Represented to us That the allowance of Thirty Seaven Pounds & Terms Shillings
already made to him was very Short of the Great Damage he received, and the Charges
he was put to by the high wind in the year 1707. And haveing earnestly requested
a further Allowance towards the same. Wee have Ordered That a years Rent being
Fifteen pounds be allowed him by Mr. Treasurer , and that the Same be remitted in
the Hospitall Accompt.

The Hospl.
Insur'd from fire


Wee haveing Ordered That all the Buildings within the Scite of this Hospital
be Insured against Fire in the Hand and Hand Office on Snow Will in the Best andrew
advantageous manner it could be done An Agreement has been made with the
Directors of that Office for Insuring Thirteen Thousand and Five hundred pounds up
the said Buildings.

Complaints haveing being frequently made to us, That Water is very much
wanted in this Hospitall: And we being of Opinion, that the Erecting a large Coffe [..]
is Some convenient part thereof will be of Great Service as well in Case of Fire, as
upon any Accidentall Failures of Supply of water by the Pipes laid into the Hospital
Wee have ordered large Castone to be sett up near the cold Bath in this Hospital
And have likewife caused piped of a larger Borethan fromerly to be laid into the Hospital
from the Maine in St. Thomas's Parish By which we hope there will be full & sufficient
Supply of Water for the future for all the Occasion of the House.
