this Hospitll. doe Joyne with Dortr: Cox's Attorney in procureing
a Docree pursuant to the said Award for Ratifyeing the Exchange
of the Ground thereby made.

Rules


Surgeons Duty

And for the Regulating the Number and
Ascertaining the Qualificacons of such Servants or other persons
(Excepting Apprentices) as shall be Admitted under the Surgeons
to be present at or Assist in the Dressing of the patients in this Hospits.
Wee have Agreed upon the Orders and Rules following which wee
humbly Offer to the Consideracon of this Court

1st.


That no Surgeon have more then three at one Time, nor take
any for lesse than one year.

2. dly


That none be taken, [..] but such as have served Five years or
upwards with a Surgeon or some person practizeing in Physick
and Surgeon.

3. dly


That before any such person be taken in he shall be presented to
and approved of by the Comittee and shall produce and Lease with
the Comittee or Trear a Testimoniall from some persons of Creditt and
reputacon Inhabiteing in the Towne or place from whence he
comes of his having served aforesaid for Five yeares at least and
that he is of sober life and Conversation.

Lastly


And in Case any Surgeon of this Hospitall shall take any
such Servant or other person contrary to these Orders Except by
speciall Lycence from the Comittee or Trear he shall for every
such Offence forfeit the sume of Twenty pounds for the use of the
poor in this Hospitll: to be dedcuted out of his Sallary and shall alsoe
incurr the displeasure of the Governors: of this Hospll.

Felt maker to lett him the Corner House in Joyners street part of
the House belonging to Mr. Jackson and Taylor taken into the Hospitall
Hands for Nonpayment of Ground Rent for One yeare certaine
from Lady day next and halfe a years warning at £10. P Ann

Apothecary 's Allowance
Increased from
£265 to £300 P Ann


Upon the peticon of John Davis< no role > our Apothecary
setting forth his Extraordinary Charge and Attendance for about
Two yeares past by reason of the Great Advance upon Druggs
and Grocery Wares and the Addicon of about Fifty new bedds
upon the Rebuilding of the Hospitall and the Increase of Extra
paticuts and praying an Allowance in respect thereof Wee
have Examined his Allegacons and find the same to be true
and therefore are humbly of Opinion that it is reasonable
to advance his present Sallary or yearly Allowance of £268 to
