Agreed
At the request of Mr Joseph Spackman< no role > to reserved the
Order of the Grand Committee of the 29th of February 1780 for granting
him a lease of her fields in Hackney lying behind the several houses
and Ground agreed at the same time to be let to him and instead
thereof to grant him a Lease of those fields for a term of 46
years from Lady day 1780 (when the present Lease to Mr
Adams well aspire) with a Covenant upon or before the expiration
of the first 16 year of such term of 46 years at the request and
expence of Mr. Spackman upon the Surrender of such Lease
to grant him a new Lease of the above fields for the then
commender of such term of 46 years and a further term of 21
years to be added thereto by which means both these Leases will
expire at the same time which appears to the Committee to be no
ways propedicial to the Interest of the Hospital and necessary
for Mr Spackman accomodation as the above two fields or part of
them are intended to be used as Garden Ground to the House or
Houses intended to be built by Mr Spackman on the Ground
whereon the before mentioned houses at present stand or
otherwise used therewith.
