The Minutes of the last Grand Committee
held the 4th of Octor were read & confirmed

Mr Baker one of the Surgeons of this Hospit
al recommended Mr Henry Browne< no role > one of his

Pupils as deserving a Certificate which was
agreed to accordingly.

The Committee proceeded to receive proposals
for granting a Lease of the Estate of this Hospil
al at Abvethley now in Lease to Mrs Elizabeth
Collier< no role > which will Expire at Michas 1745

The Honble: Thomas Lennard Barrett< no role > Esqr
attended the Committee praying to have the Rise
of the Sluice belonging to the Hospital Lands
for draining the Water off the Lands he paying
such acknowledgmt. for the same as the Committee
shall think reasonable

The Report of the Comittee dated 21st. October
1742 for viewing the sd: Estate was read

Mr. James Collier< no role > proposed on behalf of
his Mother Mrs Elizabeth Collier< no role > , to take a
Lease of the sd: Estate for 21 Years, from the
Expiration of ye present Lease at the old rent
of £100 p Ann, a fine of £1500 to layout
£400 or upwards in repairs, but the Expence of
laying the Slice anew from the foundation was
by him submitted to the Committee.

Order'd that the Consideration of the sd
Proposal be referr'd to the next Comittee and that
that same be held on this day Fortnight
