Mr. Walburge from the Committee
for viewing Houses in & near the Old Bailey
Reported that they had view'd the same and
found most of them out of Repair.

Dispute about the
Passage of the Fountain
Tavern on Snow hill


Mr . Richard Saunders< no role > who has a
Reversionary Lease of the Fountain Tavern &
other Premisses at Snow-hill : and Mrs. Townsend
who holds two of the Hospital Houses under
Mr. Thomas Thomas< no role > attended this Committee
and each desired to have the Back passage
leading out of the Fountain Tavern towards St.
Sepulchre 's Church Mr. Saunders insisting
it would be very prejudicial to the Tavern to
be deprived of it, and Mr. Townsend complaining
that it occasions great inconveniences to him
& the Neighbouring Houses.

It was recommended by the Comittee
to the said Persons to agree about it between them
selves with the Assistance of Mr. Wightman

Houses near the Church


Agreed with Mr. Charles Twells< no role > to
let him the Second new house above St. Thomas's
Church for one year from Midsumr. next at £18..
P ann rent payable Quarterly And from that
time, as Tenant at will He is to build a Closet &
leave the same & in consideration thereof he is to be
allowed £2..- out of the first years Rent.

Gave to the Poors box 2s.
