Lease And that the Hospll: would Lett the sd: Three Houses
together to One Tennant He Proposed to take A Lease
thereof accordingly at the Present Ground Rents amounting
together, to-£6:12s: P Ann: but could not Pay any Fine, The
Houses being Old and much Decayed and the Ground Rents
too High. Whereupon the Committee considering the
case were of Opinion That it will be for the Service of the Hospll:
to Lett the sd: Houses upon A Building Lease, at the present
Ground Rents, and that Two Houses be only Built in the
brown thereof And Ordered Notice to be Given accordingly
And Mr: Walley Agreed That he would Surrender the Lease
of the sd: House in Reynolds Possion, when the Hospll: shall
Require it.

The sd: Mr: Walley, being Tennant of 4: Houses in St:
Thomas Parish Granted by Two Leases to Joyce Whittle< no role >
being then but £3: Houses, At the severall Ground Rents
of-£3:6s: and-£4:8s: P Ann: One Expiring at Michas
1717: And the other at Midsr 1718: The Improved
Rents whereof are abt: £37: P Ann: proposed to give £129:
Fine for A Lease thereof for-21: Years from Midsr 1718:
at the Old Rents of £7:14s: P Ann: One half of the Fine to
be Paid forthwith, And the other half at Michas: 1718:
Which the Committee Agreed to And Ordered a New Lease
to be granted accordingly And he is to Enjoy the Tenmts:
granted by the sd: Lease expiring at Michas 1717: till.
the Comencemt: of the New Lease, Paying only the
Ground Rent Reserved upon that Lease.

Mr: Pearless of Plumsted in Kent our Tennt: of Lane
in Plumsted & Crith belonging to this Hospll: having
proposed to Sell an Estate in Land lyeing near our
Land there of about-£36: P Ann: Mr: Trear is desired
to Gett A Particular thereof and Treat with him
abt: the same And Report his Opinion thereupon to
this Committee
