for Recovering the Mesue Profitts & Satisfaccon for Two Timber
Trees Taken by Him without Leave of the Governrs. And the
Letters of the 18th. May & 5th. June Last Sent in Smyths Name to
Mr. Trear, were Read; Whereupon tis Ordered That the
Clerke take Care of the Tryall upon the Ejectmt. now Depending
(wherein the said Smyth has made himselfe Defendt.) at the next
Derby Assizes And also of Executing the Writt of Inquiry in
the Accon for the Mesue Profitts And that He goes downe
to the said Assizes if it shall be found Necessary, And the
Governors of Christ Hospitall are Desired to Deliver to
Him the Letters Patent of King Edwd. the 6th. under the
Great Seale (which are Deposited in their Custody) whereby the
Tibshelfe Estate (intal) was Given to the Governors of this Hospll: to-
be made Use of upon Tryall. for the proving of our Title And 't is
Ordered That every Thing be done (that can be) for the Speedy Obtaining
Possession of the sd: Farme and Delivering the same to Mr: Ault, who
has Agreed with Us for A New Lease thereof

Mr: Trear acquainted the Comittee, That Mr: Seare out Tennant
of A Farme at Massworth had made a further Offer of Twenty Guineys
to his Former Offer of£100: & 50: Guineys to Renew his Lease of the said
Farme for21: Yeares which was rejected And the Comittee thinking
this Offer (which is the Third that has been made by Mr: Seare) to be much
under the true Value They Came to a Resolution to Treat with the
Undertennt: of the said Farme or any other Person who shall think fitt
to bidd for the same

He being thought a Fitt Person to be A Governor

A Letter from James Stancliffe< no role > our Steward, Directed to Mr:
Trear was read in the Presence of the sd: Mr: Stancliffe whereby he
Declares That he has an Intention for a considerable time past to
Resigne his place of Steward And by the sd: Letter he Actually Resignes
the same And he therein representing some Extraordinary Trouble and
Paines which he has had, by reason of the late Warr, and the Alteracon
made in the Money Store, The Comittee Accepted his Resignation, and
Agreed to Recomend Him to the Generall Court to have A Gratuity.

The Churchwardens of St: Thomas's Parish Applyed to the Ca [..]
to Desire that the Grate in St: Thomas's Street agt: Three Herring Court,
which is now broken in may be repaired at the Hospitall's Charges The
Comittee Declare That the Hospll: was not Obliged to Repaire the same
But Mr: Trear is Desired to talke with the Scavenger's of the Parish about
it [..] hose Business it is to take Care thereof
