Mr. Sands of Orpinton & Mr. Kickley our
Tennt. of the Demesnes of the Manner of
Crofton. Attended & Mr: Sands proposed to
Give Five Pounds for the pollards growing
on Sparrow Comon, as he had done before
at a Comittee the 13th: of June last, and
Mr. Kickley being heard touching the same
who says the Lopp's of the sd Trees have been
Taken by him [..] severall times, abd Tennt: to the
Hospll: and that in Case the Trees are Sold off,
there will be little or no occasion to have recourse to
the sd Comon, the same not consisting of above
halfe an Acre and in time the sd Mr:
Sands may thereby Lay the same into his own
Land, with which his almost wholly incompassed
upon Consideracon had of the whole Matter
the Comittee did not think fitt to Sell the sd
Trees to the sd Mr: Sands, And Ordered that
the Gate which he hath lately being [..]
in the Lane leading to the sd Comon be Taken
downe, and that he should make good the
Fence in that part of the sd Lane where
it lyes open to his Land, And that no
Gate or Railes be permitted in the sd
Lane to obstruct or slopp the passage to
the sd Comon.

Mr. Trear accquainted the Comittee that
our late president Sr: Robt: Clayton< no role > who
Departed this Life the 16th. of July last, had
left a Legacyofupwards of £2000 to this
Hospll: upon Condicon that a Lyce use be obtained
