Sir
On looking over the Account of the Eltirley Estate,
I find, the Balance to be as you have made it, that is £1.14.9
which you will remit the just opportunity. The Landtax
& Quit Rent Receipts, your Son left with me you will
have Credit for them when the Balance is remitted
I am afraid that Gregory by his sumingly fair pretences,
has some bad Design to Prosecute, you will therefore
look Sharp after him; it is an invarioble Maxim with
many people, Etc Suspect most when uncommon Civilities
or great prosessions of Service an offer'd them: And
indeed, I am of their Opinion He may mean to Act
as he says, however, it is best to be upon ones Guard,
& then, let what will be the Consequence, one is in some
degree prepared to receive it. Mr. Treasurer does not
disapprove of your Setting the Carpenters to Work upon
the Stood, as it is a Case of Necessity, but desires, that
you would not give Orders relative to any other part
of the Repairs, as one Surveyor, will in a short time be
down, for that purpose.

To Mr. Isaac Brall< no role > at
Royston

I am Etc
