will also let me knew what you mean by a new
Lodge you may depend upon it that Mr Treasurer
will never consent, to erect a new Lodge or any thing
else where these never has been any thing before
the number of Gates you mention is very great
if You can possibly less in them without any real
prejudice to the Farm I think it should be done as
it will make the Repairs so much the LessYou
will also please to make a Calculation Now far the
old Materials will go and what Quantity of Timber
which you [..] were it Your own Case would Assign
to compleet the Repairs

Your letter of the 16th Janry last has been laid
before Mr Treasurer who has orderd me to write that the
frequent demand for Timber for Repairs would make
any one conclude that the Wood growing upon the Hosptl.
Estate there was soly appropriated for that purpose the
Hospital having Reced for Wood sold within these last
20 years or more than £1518 You must therefore
be more particular in the Repairs to be done by maintain-
ing in Your next the Dimensions of the Barn floor
to be planted as also the number of Gates Posts Rails Etc
before you can have an Order for any Timberthe
Treasurer approves of having the Stable Paved with
Brick instead of having it planned provided it dont
exceed the Sum you mentioned in your Letter & You
may sett about doing it as soon as You shall think
it proper as convenient for YouI must here
remind You that there is 8 Years Arrears of Quit
Rent due at Michaelmas last which I hope you
will soon remit. to
